Help students understand the concept of Case and Function in Latin before even learning the Latin endings! This product helps students to organize the cases by their name, definition, and English example. No Latin is involved. Students have a greater understanding of the Latin if they can recognize the connections to their own language.
This activity is geared towards early level students of Latin. The definitions for each case use the most basic usage of the noun/case form. These cards do not include the nuanced or advanced uses of the case.
All puzzle pieces are the same so students can not just match the pieces based upon the shapes.
This can be an individual or cooperative group activity.
Make each student in a group in charge of one part of the cards. Then together they must come up with a proper set.
I recommend placing the files on stock paper, index cards, or construction paper to give the cards a stronger foundation. Laminating, if possible, would also help preserve their life!
Locative is not included.
