Assess your Latin student(s) with this basic conditional identification assessment.
On this assessment there are 6 sentences, one for each conditional construction.
Students are asked to identify the following aspects for each sentence:
- Does the sentence use an indicative or a subjunctive construction? So therefore is it expressing a factual or imaginary situation?
- What is the tense that is being INDICATED by the construction (past, present, future)
- What construction is present in the sentence?
- How does the sentence translate in the given conditional construction?
Each sentence uses the same vocabulary and basic message throughout. The repetition is used to enhance the students ability to decipher and distinguish between each conditional and its proper translation.
This activity would work not only as a quiz, but also as a worksheet or ticket to leave.
