  • Guide Map for Latin/Greek Vocabulary and Foreign Phrases (student handout)
  • Timeline of Influences on the English language

Along with PDF copies, you will also be given access to links that will allow you to open the unit handouts, rubrics, and test in Google Slides. You can edit these as you like and share the files with your students. The slides can be printed and adapted for students who prefer to answer the questions by hand. You can also view and print a student’s completed version of the slides.

About the Vocabulary Word Work
The vocabulary word work for with this resource incorporates work with syllables and pictures.

Why incorporate syllable work?

Dividing words into parts, or "chunks”, helps speed the process of decoding and can help students learn to spell words correctly. Illustrating vocabulary also deepens vocabulary knowledge and recall.

About the Review Game
The game included with this resource is modeled after the television game show The Family Feud with modifications. Of all review games I have created over the years, this set-up is the best for whole classroom use. Because of the opportunities to steal, it helps keep all teams engaged.
