This item includes the following five worksheets of activities centered on a selection of 22 Latin prepositions:
Worksheet #1: 25 questions with a short Latin sentence each, in which students are given the prompt of the English definition and asked to fill in the missing Latin preposition. (The additional questions accommodate multiple definitions for "in" and "de."
Worksheet #2: 25 questions with a short Latin sentence each (these are different from the sentences of Worksheet #1), in which students are given the prompt of the Latin pronoun and also an English word that they must make in Latin the object of the preposition.
Worksheet #3: Six images depicting scenes of Roman life, which the students are asked to describe using short sentences with prepositional phrases. This is a great visual exercise to encourage students by reading the scenes to think carefully about the definitions and form visual assocations of them.
Worksheet #4: A simple quiz-style worksheet asking students to fill in the meaning and case required for the objects of each preposition.
Worksheet #5: A simple quiz-style worksheet asking students to fill in the preposition to match the English definition.
Also included are the vocabulary entries formatted as review cards, fit onto one 8.5x11 sheet and printed with dotted lines so they can be easily cut.
The prepositions and definitions selected for the activities were chosen to balance the needs of demonstrating important prepositions, avoiding repetition, and having practical exercises. All files are in MS Word format so they can be easily edited.
