ALL 50 STATES LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE PUZZLES BUNDLE!
This bundle is a set of FIFTY
individual state latitude and longitude coordinates puzzles that will each form the shape of one of the 50 states. Most buyers usually purchase one puzzle, and that would be the puzzle of the state they live in, of course. So if you're going to go all out and get all of them at once I'm going to hook you up with the deal of deals! What you are getting in this bundle for $40 would cost you $120 for all of the puzzles if you bought them individually!
Also included is a BONUS
gift of the United States Latitude and Longitude Coordinates Puzzle to give this bundle a sense of a culminating experience for your students. I told you, it's a deal!
This is a great set of tasks for students learning latitude and longitude or as a practice for those who already are familiar with this skill. Make sure you know the capabilities of your audience first and what puzzles they would feel most comfortable with. The puzzles range from EASY
to VERY CHALLENGING
. For example, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada only have a few coordinates to plot so those would work well for beginning learners. However, Alaska and Hawaii have many coordinates to plot. Surprisingly the smallest state in size, Rhode Island, has the most coordinates to plot with 102! Students have fun with these and learn that to get good at something it takes time and patience.
I have used this type of formative assessment with students for years and have found that when they know that the coordinates will eventually make a shape it helps them to see if they are using the right directions. Students will plot the coordinates one at a time, label them in numerical order, and finally connect the dots to hopefully see the outline of one of the states. It has worked great for my students so I hope yours find the same success.
If your students complete all of the puzzles they will have practiced plotting over 2,000 coordinates!!
Below are the number of coordinates students will plot for each puzzle. Click on each state name
to get to that individual puzzle if you're looking to purchase a select puzzle.

These are also great resources to have for students who finish their work early. You'll be surprised how many students actually ASK for them when they are done with their work!
