What educators are saying

This was a very fun review activity. My students found some of the problems quite challenging, but most were able to complete all of them in a 90 minute block.
I used this with a gifted/honors Geometry class. This is a FANTASTIC resource for those kids. It is hard to find activities challenging enough for them, and this was absolutely perfect!!

Description

Students will practice solving triangle problems using the Law of Sines and Law of Cosines with this scavenger hunt activity. This activity includes: finding side lengths, finding angle measures (ambiguous case included), word problems (includes bearings and degree-minute-second form), and area of triangle problems.

Simply print the 14 problems and scatter around the room (and in the hallway if possible), give each student a recording worksheet, group students, and assign them a place to start. The answer they get will lead them to their next problem. They continue looping around until they have completed all 14 stations. Be sure to have students record the letter at each station so they activity is easier to grade.

This activity works very well in conjunction with my Pre-Calculus Trigonometric Functions Unit.
