Perfect for teaching & reviewing the laws along with test preparation on the operations of Exponents. This is a great way to engage students in solving 24 problems with each recording sheet on exponents. I found students to become more engaged when they feel that they can choose one problem at a time to complete. With this bundle of tasks, they are also tiered so that you may use them as Sets or mix the sets up and let students play a round of 'Let's Play 24' for all operations with Exponents.

You may also utilize the tasks as a spiral review or starters by cutting a page in half and allowing students to solve just those problems.... there are options/suggestions listed in the product.

NOTE: For International customers - There is a recording sheet without 'Exponential Challenge' written on it in case you wish to write in 'ORDERS' or 'INDEX' instead of calling it Exponential Challenge. Also for 5th/6th Grade the higher level questions may be used for GATE.

Write and evaluate numerical expressions involving whole-number exponents.
Know and apply the properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent numerical expressions. For example, 3² × (3⁻⁵) = (3⁻³) = 1/3³ = 1/27.
Explain how the definition of the meaning of rational exponents follows from extending the properties of integer exponents to those values, allowing for a notation for radicals in terms of rational exponents. For example, we define 5 to the 1/3 power to be the cube root of 5 because we want (5 to the 1/3 power)³ = 5 to the (1/3)(3) power to hold, so (5 to the 1/3 power)³ must equal 5.
Rewrite expressions involving radicals and rational exponents using the properties of exponents.
Explain patterns in the number of zeros of the product when multiplying a number by powers of 10, and explain patterns in the placement of the decimal point when a decimal is multiplied or divided by a power of 10. Use whole-number exponents to denote powers of 10.
