This is the first 3 lesson plans in the Force and Motion STEM Unit, but can be taught independently. 3 days of lesson plans begin with students researching Sir Isaac Newton or the Laws of Motion. Students will follow the outline specific to their research choice and answer the questions by researching online. They will use the information in their outline to create a Power Point of their information. Finally, they will present their Power Points in small groups. Force and Motion simulation game website links are provided for when students complete their work for each day.
Laws of Motion research option:
Students will be able to identify Newton’s Three Laws of Motion.
Students will be able to apply each Law of Motion to a real-life example.
Students will be able to create a Power Point to present each law and example.
Sir Isaac Newton research option:
Students will be able to describe the life and major contributions of Sir Isaac Newton.
Students will be able to create a Power Point to present important information about the life of Sir Isaac Newton.
