Le Carnaval dans le monde francophone - A Breakout EDU for Novice LM Learners

This Breakout EDU activity allows your Novice learners to explore a few cultural practices around "Carnaval/Mardi Gras" in the francophone world.

This activity is recommended for Novice learners who cannot yet sustain reading more than a few words or sentences at a time, such as Elementary students, or students at the beginning of their learning of French (CEFR A1 or equivalent).

If your Novice learners can read longer texts written in comprehensible French, i.e. full of cognates and words they know, then I recommend doing this mini Carnaval reading unit instead
