This unit plan for teaching “Le Petit Prince” is designed for a French 4 class but can be modified to fit other levels as well. Included with the unit plan are 4 integrated performance assessments covering the interpretive, interpersonal and presentational modes of communication. These summative assessments are designed to assess proficiency skills, as well as students’ grasp of the book’s main ideas and philosophy. The other elements of this unit are sold separately so teachers can choose the activities they like and build a unit that fits their needs.
