PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This debate activity accompanies the 2008 film “Entre les Murs” (The Class) by Laurent Cantet where students need to speak, listen, and write in French, as well as use analytical, organizational and cooperative skills. After watching the movie, students work in groups to state and defend opinions about the film, forcing them to think critically and use examples from the film and connections to their lives. This lesson is designed for an upper-level classroom to complete over 2-3 days after watching the movie. It contains an introduction, student handout, notes and debate organizer, evaluation rubric, and written activity.
