This handout is meant to be a consolidation of a lesson on the pronouns le, la, and les (it and them in English). These are not to be confused as definite articles.
On this handout, students are required to replace words with le, la, and les and place the pronoun in the correct position when it comes to the present tense, the passe compose, and the negative.
This worksheet works extremely well with a Grade 9 French class as according to the Ontario curriculum, students must learn these pronouns by the end of the semester. You could also use this handout to review the pronouns with a Grade 10 class.
I used this to gauge what students did/did not understand from my lesson on these pronouns (ie: this was assessment FOR learning/formative assessment). If there were many major issues with the entire class, I reviewed certain concepts the next day.
