This is a handout of many of the key people that were pioneers in the abolition and women's rights movements prior to the Civil War. I have included a student copy, as well as an answer key for teachers. People that are included in this handout are: William Lloyd Garrison, Frederick Douglas, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, The Grimke sisters, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Susan B. Anthony. The chart is intended for students in grades 6 and above to use for studying or research purposes. A powerpoint with video links and quiz accompany the chart.
