Leaf Structure and Function Lab
This lab activity reinforces a student's knowledge of leaf structure and function, and how the leaf anatomy relates to photosynthesis. Use this leaf structure and function lab during your unit on photosynthesis or during your unit on plant anatomy.

• To observe the arrangement of leaves on living braches of various plants.
• To find, draw, and describe the various cell types of a dicot leaf in a prepared slide.
• To compare a cross section of a dicot leaf to the cross section of a monocot leaf.
