Learn Colors Worksheets - Spanish Color Name Posters and Flashcards

Did you know that not being able to learn colors is an early flag for a learning disability? I have a lot of little ones coming to school and not being able to name more than one color. Do you know how to teach the colors? I learned over time that you teach the colors one by one for the students who don’t understand what a color is. For example, you teach "rojo" on its own. You wouldn’t teach a bunch of colors at once.

This resource contains posters of one color in color and then also in black and white. I chose a font that is legible for new readers. You can print out and laminate the color posters and display them in your room. Or you can have students color the black and white posters and display them or send them home with the students. The black and white options are great also if you have a color printer that doesn’t always print the colors quite right! ;)

The second part of the resource includes six picture flashcards of things that are a certain color plus a flashcard with the word in easy to read print (and they are also available in both color and black and white.

I’ve also included a sentence scaffold/ framework to have students construct a sentence when they name the color.
