Engage your students with "Learn it! Know it! Show it!"
This three step lesson and teaching plan is a sure why to teach your students the concept of CONCEPT. In the first step, "Learn it!", you (the teacher) will use an exciting PowerPoint show to teach the concept. Students will learn how to use the concept, be given many examples, play along with mini games, and be actively engaged in learning. Use the "Learn it!" piece with any projector or any interactive white board (some games require students to manipulate items on the screen).
After students learn the concept, it's time to "Know it!" In this step, students work either individually or with partners to complete worksheets based on the concept they have just learned. This can be done right after the "Learn it!" lesson, or the day after. An assessment piece is also provided for the students during this step.
The "Show it!" step is the students' way to show what they have learned. Students will use their knowledge of the concept to play simple stations and activities. This will allow the teacher to travel around the room to see which students can show their knowledge, as well as free up time for the teacher to pull individual students for reteaching.
