This workbook is designed to help children who can count but cannot relate the total to a matching numeral. They find it difficult to recall and write down the correct numeral.
"Which one is five? What does five look like?" are common questions.
These children learn better if each numeral is related to a meaningful verbal commentary.
Each numeral has a set of directions which will help the child to recall what to do to write the correct numeral.
E.g. 4 “Start, go down, run, stop and now go down again.”
9 “Round the head and slide down the neck.”
There are number of pages, with pictures for counting and recording the totals, to give enough practice for each numeral.
