Have students practice beginning writing strategies "I can draw a clear picture" and "I can add labels" with these Learn to Label printables!
There are two options included.
In option #1 the students will trace the picture, the word and the label box.
In option #2 the students will trace the picture, label the picture on their own and trace the label box.
I like to print both option #1 and option #2 double-sided to provide easy differentiation. Students who are working on their fine motor skill can do that with simply tracing option #1 while students who are beginning to hear and record sounds in words can try to stretch words out on their own in option #2 and can easily check for accuracy by flipping the page over.
The labeling checklist at the bottom helps the students practice using a smaller checklist before we move on to the longer writing checklist used for writing sentences.
