Product Description
This is a Fake News hyperdoc I made on Google Docs that introduces students to the world of fake news, what it is, and how to combat it in their everyday lives. All of the text on this framework document was written by me to use with some research groups in my school library. It can easily be modified to suit the needs/interests/skill levels of any age group. I used this document with upper elementary kids, but it could be made simpler or more challenging.

This hyperdoc is 100% editable. You will need to add your own links to videos and resources. I did not include any links to resources found around the web--I didn't want to link anything without permission. Think of this as a bare-bones informational structure to which you can add your "extras." You can add different rows to the chart to add more text, questions, links, vocabulary, games, activities, or anything else you'd like. Colors and fonts are also changeable.

Note: I used this document through Google Drive/Google Classroom, but you don't have to do the same. You can also edit it by downloading it from the link as a Microsoft Word Doc instead. I used Schoology, a learning management system similar to Canvas/Blackboard, to distribute it as well.

***YOU WILL NEED TO VISIT THE LINK ON THE DOWNLOADABLE FILE TO ACCESS THE HYPERDOC***

HOW TO ACCESS THE EDITABLE HYPERDOC;
1. Click the link that pops up on the 1st page of the downloadable file after purchase
2. You will notice that the document is view-only. If you want to access it on Google Drive, you will need to be logged in to your Google account. After logging in, revisit the link, click "file," and then select "make a copy." Make sure to save the copy to "my drive."
3. If you don't want to save it and use it through Google Drive, you can access it as a Word Doc instead. You don't have to log in to Google to do this. Simply click the link, click "file," and then "download as," and then select "microsoft word doc."
4. Enjoy! Feel free to edit and distribute as you'd like to best suit your students and classroom.
