This is a fun year-long project that includes friends and family!
Why use Learning About the World With Flat Stanley? We all know children learn best when there is a personal connection to what is being learned. When a friend or family member takes a trip or lives in a different place, the children are more likely to learn more about that place!
How it works: After reading the Flat Stanley book, children create their own "Flat Stanley." The teacher sends these letters home, along with the child's Flat Stanley, to be photographed by friends and family in different places!
What's included: This freebie contains two letters: one to the families so they understand the project, and the other to the person(s) who will be traveling with Flat Stanley.
Be sure to encourage friends and family to the Flat Stanley website (https://www.flatstanleybooks.com/ ) where they'll find ideas, games, and photos of Flat Stanley and his travels. There is also a downloadable template for people to make their own Flat Stanleys!
