I use this assessment to track academic growth throughout the school year. I like to have parents fill it out first at the beginning of the school year in September so that I can have an accurate accounting of what each student knows based on the parents assessment. I then do 2 more assessments throughout the year. I give the parents a copy of the assessment at the end of the school year to show their students growth and areas of weakness that need extra at home practice. I have used this with my preschoolers and more recently in my Learning Center classroom with my students with unique and special needs.
