This is a student-centered activity demands that students cooperate in small groups to accomplish a learning objective. They must use online and textbook (optional) resources to answer the focus questions on the topic of Ancient Egypt. Little background knowledge is provided prior to this activity.
Student groups must choose group leaders and divide tasks in order to create a Google Slides/Microsoft Powerpoint presentation that will accomplish all facets of the task as well as present this to a peer audience. All students must be equally and actively involved.
Links have been provided that direct students toward valuable information essential to the task. A scoring rubric has also been provided that will help to convey the essential elements of this learning challenge.
I have found that these types of learning activities that are student-centered are far more effective at getting students motivated to learn while also making them responsible for their own learning.
