Squishy Circuits Lab
Long 45-60 min. lab that is hands-on and FUN!
In this 45-60 minute circuits lab students will learn how to circuits work through hands-on inquiry.
Students will gain a better understanding of what certain circuit components do by running an obstacle course. They will learn how resistors slow electrons down, the difference between electrons in an LED and incandescent lamp, what an open or closed circuit looks like, and how a current flows.
Students will then cut and paste a circuit puzzle which will provide a roadmap on how to put a squishy circuit together. From there, students will make their own squishy circuit sculptures.
The lab book has space to record their sculptures, ideas on troubleshooting their circuits, vocabulary, the obstacle coure and more!
