Learning contracts are enrichment projects that will challenge your early finishers or gifted students to keep them engaged in their learning. These projects are compatible with any grade level and subject. Learning contracts are easy for teachers to manage as you set the terms of the contract and easy for students to follow because all of their directions and rules are included provided.
→Reading a challenging book, completing activities about the book, and giving a short presentation to the class.
→Designing an anchor chart depicting a math strategy, writing word problems, and “teaching” small groups how to use the anchor chart and what they learned.
Checkpoints are included for you to meet with students to review their work, and provide feedback along the way. These projects can be as short or as long as you want, and could be done solely in class or have a component to complete at home.
For larger projects (or even if you just want to keep parents informed) there is a form that includes a parent signature to keep families informed about what their child is working on in class.
