I laminated a piece of paper made to look like a crayon box, and then I laminated and cut out 10 words written on different color crayons. I do have 8 Cr- words, so when using this product you will need to take 2 of the Cr- words out when giving it to the student. I put more Cr- words so that you can pick which words would be better depending on the student's skill level. The words are: cricket, crab, cracker, crib, crown, creek, crow, crawl, brick, and green. On the crayon box I have 6 pieces of Velcro and on the backs of each crayon there is also Velcro so that the students can attach the correct Cr- words onto the crayon box. There is more you can do with this as well, like make students write out the words, or draw pictures of the what the words are. This is just the first step in getting them to point out what words start with Cr-.
