SPEECH ROCKS ~ MARCH MADNESS ~ WEEK 2 FREEBIE

Learning how to be a good winner and a good loser can be a very difficult skill to teach, especially for children with special needs. There’s no better way to teach these skills than in a safe environment when the child knows what to expect.

This two player game was designed to teacher the social skills associated with “winning” and “losing”. The playing cards were designed so that the green cards will ALWAYS win while the blue cards will ALWAYS lose, this way the child knows exactly what to expect before the game is played.

If you students are just not ready for competitive games, “cooperative games” are a good place to begin. During cooperative games, students work “together” to accomplish a goal. Check out these cooperative games in my TPT store: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Speech-Rocks/Category/Cooperative-Games-
