Learning Life Lessons with Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
I love the story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I have watched the video at least a dozen times. This unit is looking at the lessons that can be learned from the story. The original story is in rhyme and not nearly as thought provoking as the video so it would be a good idea that your students have viewed the story of Rudolph.
This will give you a great excuse to show the film to your students.
Afterwards have your students read together the two part script about the lessons learned in Rudolph. Then there are discussion questions written out on cards (print on card-stock). The discussion could be done in whole group and the cards picked randomly by students or give a set of cards to groups of students and have them sit together and discuss the questions that are on the cards.
Also included worksheets that include….
-Questions to reflect on
-Problems in the story
-Cause and Effect
-My opinion on the greatest lesson learned
-Writing paper titled Rudolph
-Letters for your bulletin board that say, “Rudolph”
Happy teaching and enjoy! Jane
