What is a learning log? A learning log is a reflection. It is a great way to get kids to comprehend what they have and have not learned. And by writing what they have learned, students are essentially moving their newly learned information into permanent memory.
Learning logs are common use in the AVID program. As an AVID Elective Teacher, I use them weekly with both my AVID and my non AVID students.
Included in this package is a Learning Log Guidelines handout for the students so they understand the purpose of these tools. Also included are three different learning logs.
The blank one is great to use when you have specific questions you'd like the kids to answer. The specific Monday - Friday log is great to use when there is a heavy teaching week for a specific topic. The log with several questions is great to use for any topic in any subject area.
If you have any formatting or usage questions, please email me.
WONDERFUL WISHES and THANK YA!
