This product contains 17 different learning logs for students to reflect and show what they have learned. These learning logs encourage higher level thinking while students write about the standards, essential questions, and the skills they have learned.
I use these learning logs instead of exit slips in my classroom. Because students keep these learning logs in their notebooks, they can look back and reflect throughout the year about what they have learned in all subjects. It is also a great tool for parent-teacher conferences to show parents what their children have learned. I can also collect the notebooks and check for understanding and make comments to students.
These 17 different learning logs come in two different versions: one version is for students to put into binders; the other version is for students to cut and paste into composition notebooks or spiral bound notebooks. I have included examples of some of the learning logs filled out in both versions for you to refer. In addition, there are cover pages for each type of notebook.
