An early task for pre-school or kindergarten students is to learn the concepts behind the numbers from one to five. This document contains cards showing six different representations for each of the five numbers. They are numerals, pips on a die, beads on a Rekenrek, words, chips in a ten-frame, and lengths of a line measured in units.
The 30 cards showing 6 representations for each number (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5) are created on a page that need to be printed on card stock and cut apart on lines.
Instructions for two games that can be played with the cards are given. The two games are Concentration and “I have, who has?”.
Students can also practice naming the number that each card represents to the teacher or another person who already knows them.
There is a companion product for sale at TPT for learning the Numbers 6 – 10 Six Ways.
