Product Description
This is a lab that teaches students the principle of osmosis and diffusion. It is a wonderful visual and the kids pick up this relatively complex science principle quickly after this lab. In this activity students test three different liquids (water, saltwater, and sugar water) to see which will cause a gummy bear to swell the most.

This lab is also great for showing the scientific method. I have the lab set up so there is a hypothesis, materials, procedures, data collection, data representation, and conclusion section. The kids are going through every step needed to conduct a science experiment so you are teaching osmosis and how to think like a scientist at the same time. This is one of my favorite labs of the year!
