### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I developed this unit to address the Kindergarten CCSS standard below, which is not covered under the Math series that we currently use in our district:

CCSS.Math.Content.K.NBT.A.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each composition or decomposition by a drawing or equation (such as 18 = 10 + 8); understand that these numbers are composed of ten ones and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.

This package includes:

- Interactive mini-book: My Book of Teens. 10 pages covering composing and decomposing numbers from 11 to 19 into ten and ones.

- Worksheets for composing and decomposing numbers from 11 to 19 into 10 and ones.

- Matching game: Place Value Station. Students can work independently or with a partner to match the front of the train that contains the group of ten, with the back of the train (ones). As they find each match, they record it on their sheets.

- Recording sheet for the matching game.

In each worksheet you will find the CCSS standard at the top right corner.
