Product Description
Use this print and go craftivity to share thoughts about learning at any time of year.
This Rock Garden activity includes rock outlines (drawn by me!) with and without messages as well as a sign for your Learning Rocks Garden. The rock outlines can be used to scaffold your introduction to this activity and can also be used if you choose to create your garden as a bulletin board. As a scaffold, children who are not able to come up with messages can choose a message and color and cut out the rock. Coloring and cutting at first may inspire others to start creating their own messages! Paper rocks with messages can sit on a table beneath your bulletin board for students to take, share, or add to just as they would with a garden created with actual rocks.

Use the “Learning Rocks!” booklet (print and assemble with ribbon, rings, duck or washi tape, or staples) for your students to collect paper rock messages from classmates. This will be a personal and treasured rock garden for kids to keep with them long after they leave your classroom! Full size and pocket-size included!

Join the movement to share the joy of learning everywhere! Plant a real life “Learning Rocks” garden with your students to send thoughts about learning out into the world! You will need some basic acrylic paints and sealer, a set of permanent markers, and a bag of rocks from any gardening supply store. Your students will each paint a unique rock and add a message about learning to their rock.

Rocks can be displayed in a garden area outside of your school or classroom, or students can take their rocks on vacation, back to their neighborhoods, or wherever they go to leave these messages about learning for others.
