Based on the Ontario publication "Growing Success: Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting in Ontario Schools - K-12 (2010)," this resource includes 24 "I will" statements covering the 6 areas of Learning Goals:
- Independent Work
Assigning a "mark" on report cards (and proving it to admin, parents, and/or guardians) can be difficult. Check out my Learning Skills Anecdotal Records and Assessment Tracking Sheets
** Goal-Setting **
- students affix clothespins, magnets, or sticky notes with their names on it to identify their personal goals
** Explicit Instruction **
Use these "I will" statements like a Learning Goal. Explicitly teach, practice, assess, and reflect on students' ability to demonstrate these Learning Skills.
** Anchor Charts **
Put these on your bulletin board or classroom walls. Bonus - you can connect these character attributes to read aloud books or novel studies!
