Keep each student engaged and accountable for his or her learning with this anticipatory learning stations activity for William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.
This activity features five learning stations: Shakespeare's biography, Elizabethan London, Julius Caesar's biography, the Globe Theatre, and iambic pentameter. As students work through the stations, they will watch a video or complete a digital component and then read a brief article. After they finish, students will fill out a graphic organizer that features a DOK-1 and DOK-4 question for each station.
This activity requires the majority of your students to have cellphones/tablets/laptops as they will need to scan QR codes/enter links and complete the digital components individually (or pair up with students without devices). Alternatively, you could set up a device at each station and have students complete each activity in their station groups.
