This is a three page packet that uses apples to teach various concepts.
Each student is given an apple and then draws it on the top of the first page. The students then describe their apple using adjectives and sensory words. The students look inside their apple to describe the seeds.
The students use their apple to weigh and measure their apple. A slice of a red, green, and yellow apple can be given to the students so they can make a class graph of their favorite flavor of apple. The students then have space to write as many descriptive words about apples as possible. This is a great beginning of the year activity to do, especially around Johnny Appleseed's birthday, and can be done in centers or whole group.
