Product Description
This multi-step project includes pictures to color to assist the non-reader in retelling the story of the first Thanksgiving. Features: pilgrims, a king, a church, the Mayflower, Native Americans, a teepee, canoe, fish, deer.
The second part is a project in which students respond to a list of questions. Responses are written and 3 random numbers corresponding with their answers become their Native American name. Directions to make headbands included.
Students write three sentences about their new name. In simplest form K students will use sight words to write "I like..." sentences.
Includes a suggestion for display that includes students making patterns. This one has it all - retelling, sequencing, comprehension, emergent writing, patterning.
Examples included as well as usuable printable worksheets.
