Description

Slides version - personalize for your class by inserting photos and names!

Kindergarten students are great. Once upon a time, it was nearly reporting time when I noticed that two of my little boys still did not know each other's names. And they were BEST FRIENDS.

My kindergarten students have always enjoyed starting their day by singing The Good Morning Train song.

My virtual class was no different! Just as it has in the past, The Good Morning Train gave us a positive start to our day, a sense of community and helped students learn each other’s names. We started using it once we got our students into smaller groups and a routine, however. It would have been too long to go through 28 students in a row!

Here is what is included in this low-tech resource, all in one Slides download:

  • a SafeTube link to a video for learning the song while you collect photos (I am writing a post over the next few days and will include our request for photos note as a free download)
  • instructions and a visual for how to insert photos into the train windows are on the first two slides (to remove prior to using with your class!)
  • slides with the words to the song to move along at your own pace (I personally prefer low tech, tablet teaching in front of the laptop cam - far easier!)

I hope you enjoy this song as much as we have over the years. I believe I will be using this on my smart board when we return, just to move things along a little more quickly in the morning!

Thank you in advance, to those of you who generously take the time to leave feedback.

Also compatible with Slides:

Personal Alphabet Chart (Slides format) with over 200 images to upload!

If you're a low-tech, tablet in front of the laptop cam gal like me...
