One of my main objectives as a teacher is to make my students life-long thinkers. I want them to think critically, and one of the ways that I do this is by teaching them how to make inferences. My students truly struggle with this skill. It is tested on all of the state tests, and across the board, American students struggle with this skill. This is a fun introductory lesson that I use with my students to teach them how to inference. In the note section of the slides, I have included directions with what I do with the students for each step. I did this last week, and they really enjoyed it!
