No matter what you call that pesky silent e, the kids need to be able to read words with this long vowel pattern! Call them "sneaky e words," "magic e words," "silent e words," or anything else your heart desires. Have fun reading words with this long vowel pattern!

This 39 page packet includes 8 games or activities to practice reading words with a silent e.

The "magic e" games/activities include Memory, Puzzles, Tic Tac Toe, I Have Who Has, Word Searches, Long Vowel Bump, Off to the Races (real versus nonsense words), and Treasure Hunt.

Several of the activities are differentiated with CVCe versus CCVCe words. Students can practice reading "sneaky e" words with a beginning consonant or a beginning blend or digraph.
