This is a lecture that is consistent with the IB History of the Americas curriculum for the WWII unit, but it will also work for any U.S. History course. One of the main purposes of IB History is to prepare students for their IB History exams, which are all essay based, during which they must wage a main argument, supported with evidence, to be complemented with a counterclaim, also supported with evidence. This lecture supports this goal. I tend to have students copy down everything in red and blue - and then the parts of the information in black they deemed necessary. Or I just used the black info as talking/discussion points.
