This charades activity can be played in small or large groups, and can be modified to accommodate your own vocabulary. Simply print out however many sets you need, cut them apart, form groups, and begin.
My students usually played two against two, with 30-second rounds. Person A on Team 1 draws a word from the bag and attempts to get Person B on Team 1 to guess the prompt in French. If Person B correctly guesses the phrase within 30 seconds (Team 2 keeps track of timer), Team 1 gets the point. If Team 1 does not succeed, Team 2 can make one attempt/guess at the correct answer and "steal" the point. Teams take turns until teacher calls time or they run out of words.
This activity could also be used as a speaking activity to practice asking questions about leisure activities and preferences.
