Product Description
How to find PROFIT:
Income - Expenses = Profit

This “food truck” project, which was sparked by Mr. Cory’s Cookies. Cory, who is the same age as my students (9 years old), is the owner of his own cookie business. I showed a snippet of his video as inspiration and introduced this new project. (http://www.mrcoryscookies.com/)

In order to make this as real as possible, I researched everything through walmart.com. My GT students were challenged to make their OWN food truck (they had to research a recipe, get all of the material costs, and make their own blueprint with their product). This was a great project to tie a finance unit together in a meaningful and engaging way!

You can go to my blog to see how I introduced and taught the new finance math TEKS.
