This is a sorting activity when first introducing figurative language to your kiddos.
The activity is meant to be used as follows:
1. Cut out the vocabulary and put them in baggies with the sentences for a center
2. Students are to sort the vocab with the example sentences (there are repeats!)
1. Students can each get a copy and write the correct answer next to the sentences using the word bank at the bottom.
Of course, you're a creative teacher, therefore I made the document editable so you can change it to your liking. :)
The following are included for sorting:
FYI: The first sentence is a direct translation of an English saying so it's a good opportunity to be silly and tell the kids the differences in idioms between languages.
