It’s no secret that when learners link their lives to lesson content
– they retain far more. What’s less known though, is how to make relevant links between lessons and learners – in ways that cultivate curiosity and lead to meaningful takeaways as these tales and tasks do well.
Students will navigate their way
through step-by-step guides to enjoy the holiday through Tolstoy’s tale, and through their own.
Students come up with personal questions
in reader response to the text, they exchange personal insights with peers and they enjoy diverse responses using the popular talking stick game, I learned from Inuit leaders during my time in the High Arctic.
Hopefully these ready-to-roll brain-based materials
will benefit your learners and leaders as they do mine at middle, secondary, university levels and beyond.
Do follow my TpT site
and keep up with brain-friendly materials to enhance your class.
