Pg. 9-10 Roll and Write! – practice writing the capital and lowercase letters Xx and Jj – roll the dice to see how many times to write them on each line
Pg. 11-12 x is for x-ray– copy patterns onto appropriate colored construction paper – glue together as seen in example onto a black piece of paper – add eyes and draw mouth
Pg. 13-15 j is for jump – copy onto your choice of construction paper – add yarn and cut pieces of straw to make a jump rope – add the oval of the girl jumping – color the girl and glue onto a half sheet of construction paper
Pg. 16-17Jelly Beans! – cut out the jelly beans – glue only the jelly beans that have pictures that start with the /j/ sound into the jar
Pg. 18-28 Help Leo Bloom! –put the game cards face down – every player gets a Leo game board – take turns reading the words on the cards and placing them on your game board – every time you get a pencil, book, crayons, and dinner plate – you are helping Leo bloom – you mush read the words correctly in order to put them on your game board - whoever has the most game cards at the end of the game – wins
