This activity is student centered, fun and Common Core! First, students read a brief history about this most celebrated man of Renaissance. Then, they analyze his accomplishments and decide if he is deserving of his "Renaissance Man" polymath, historian given title. Next, students formulate an opinion and use evidence excerpts to support their beliefs.They create a conclusion and even evaluate what makes a person a "Renaissance Man/Woman" by drawing from personal experience. This activity is fun and Common Core, which these days is hard to come by!
