Leprechaun Bingo is much like our version of
Valentine Bingo, except this time, in the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day, I put a little Leprechaun on a random square of the bingo board. The first students to get a Bingo with their Leprechaun in it receive an extra prize. We also play a variation of this where we try to complete our whole board, and the first person to win a bingo that way receives a different prize. In my class, it’s usually one of the $1 St. Patrick’s Day hats from the Target dollar rack. :)
We have just begun learning multiplication in our class and have so far learned 0-3 families, multiplying up to 12. We're using this as an activity on St. Patrick's Day. Each PDF comes with 6 different cards, small call numbers to pull from a bowl & larger call numbers to put on your board so students know which ones have been called. I plan on having them use shamrock stickers as markers, but I've used green markers in the past as well. :) we've also blown them up on the copy machine before to make each bingo card a full sheet and then used chocolate gold coins as the markers.
