This is a leprechaun writing bundle to use during the month of March.
Informative Writing How to Find Leprechaun's Gold
This is a quick, engaging writing assignment for your students to complete in March. Students must pretend they are a leprechaun, take home a gold coin and hide it. Then they must write directions explaining how to find their coin. They must read these directions to someone at home to see if they can find the coin. If not, they must revise their directions. They bring their clues back to school to write a final copy and draw a map. My kids are loving this assignment!
Narrative Writing Leprechaun Sighting
In this narrative writing unit you walk outside and see a leprechaun! Your students must write a story about what happens next. This unit has many options to choose from when completing the writing process. There is a page for each section of the story: beginning, suspense, description of the leprechaun, main event and end. Students can use graphic organizers to brainstorm what the leprechaun looks like, what they do with the leprechaun, and the main event. There are two options for the first draft and final copy. Also included are sample answers for some of the pages the students will complete.
