LEPRECHAUN ON A CLASSROOM SHELF is a way to motivate your students to work hard and be kind to one another around St. Patrick’s Day. The Leprechaun and story that will “arrive” in your classroom will help encourage students to do their best, as well as, provide opportunity for creative writing. You can get as creative as you’d like with the Leprechaun; which you will want to “arrive” about one week prior to St. Patrick’s Day. The kiddos definitely like it when they find the Leprechaun doing mischievous things (such as; drinking out of the teacher’s water, making a mess in the student’s cubbies, reading the student’s books, etc.)! It’s also fun to have the Leprechaun write the students a message each day that discusses the good things “he” is seeing in the classroom. Gold coins and Leprechaun notes can be given to students throughout the week to encourage positive behavior as well.
Included in the packet: Leprechaun on a Classroom Shelf story, Leprechaun notes, gold coin cut outs, Student journals for daily writing while the Leprechaun is present in the classroom, parent letter, and 3 additional St. Patrick's Day writing prompt worksheets
